  1. Morgan! I think it’s great what you are doing. You have inspired me to go back to being a vegan. It was something I knew I needed to do, it’s hard though when you have no support and your friends eat whatever they see. You need to make sure that you do it in a healthy way though. It’s easy to get caught up in eating a ton of “meat replacements.” All of these contain a ton of soy which really isn’t good for you. Soy contains anti nutrients, when you eat it your body is robbed of nutrients. It’s a decent thing to eat when you are getting started, but if you can try to leave it out. It will also making you extremely gassy and who likes that. If you are going to drink “milk” try to stay away from soy and instead choose rice milk, hemp milk, almond milk (very low in calories) these are a much better choice. Quinoa is amazing shit! It is a complete protein and cooks in a quarter of the time that rice does. If you like tofu (soy) go for tempeh instead, it is fermented soy and much much easier for our bodies to digest becauase there are less anti nutrients in it. Also, look into vitamins and supplements, it’s easy to lack these when you are going veg. Hope I didn’t bore you with knowledge you already knew, I just wanted to share some things I learned on the way. Good work!

    • no Janet thats great information, I dont know exactly how to go about this and it IS hard when no one around you cares about that. I should read more books on it, any suggestions?
