Mamma Dont Hate the Cold

Today Mr. Gaunt and I ran two miles without stopping…woop. This is only the second time we have done this. I’m not one to reach a goal and then force myself to keep doing it. Sometimes I only run 1 mile without stopping, sometimes only a 1/2 mile.

In Washington right now we are having what some may describe as crappy summer weather. Yes I suppose I can see the downfalls of little sun. Obviously no one is tanning or swimming or running through the sprinkler. HOWEVER nothing is more pleasant than running in 57 degree overcast weather with a slight breeze…PERFECTION! Yesterday I had an interview, and I WASNT all hot a sweaty in my interview clothes. When Mr. Gaunt sits in his car on break he doesn’t have to turn on the air conditioning! I’m sorry, but mild = Awesome!

I’m seeing lawn mowing and gardening in my future! And anytime I feel like I may miss the Colorado weather, I look as this and can FEEL the uncomfortable blazing heat that never ends, and I’m glad I live where I do.

Today I have to go to the DMV before I go to work…lame. The DMV sucks so so so much. I promise this weekend to share some of the wedding goodies that have arrived in the mail this week! Plus I need to get my sister (who is a good sewer) to help me make some table runners this weekend!

97 Days!

source

Not working out this morning, as its pouring rain. I’m hoping when I get off work tonight at 6 it will not be raining and I can work out then. Maybe by the time winter rolls around I will be able to afford a gym membership, otherwise it will be lots of rainy workouts.

Today I looked at my countdown and it is 97 days until the wedding! I’m bummed I didn’t realize it when it was 100 days. I actually have a number of projects in the works right now, crafty things for the wedding. I also have some things coming to me in the mail this week for decorations and such. I really need to make a to-do list because the next month is going to be so busy.

Work announced the we will now be working 10 hour shifts monday-friday, and a 6 or 8 hour shift on Saturday (depending on work flow) this is kind of insane. However it will mean 16-18 hours of overtime every week, so that (financially) will be amazing! I just hope I don’t die.

alright, I’m off to Fred Meyers to get a few things before work, like a new sorts bra! Exciting, I know!

Snow

Just pics from this mornings trip to Whole Foods (very yummy recipe coming soon) and all the snow we got last night.

Hope you are staying warm today and eating yummy football food! Hula is spending her day on her heating pad, which is her favorite place on earth these days. We are off to a party, might need coffee #2 on the way out.

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup

The cold weather seems to be holding strong still, and I’m just about over it. Laying in the sun sounds so nice right now. We are expected to get snow tonight through Sunday, ugh. Luckily I’ve been working overtime so I will probably only have a 4 hour shift on Friday, get home before the snow gets bad.

Today is day two of no eating past 6 pm. It’s definately something I’m going to have to get use to because usually we eat around 7:30 or 8. Tonight I almost forgot until I looked at the clock and it said 4:55 pm! Eek I only had an hour to eat so Mr. Gaunt and I went the easy route and had Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup with a big salad. The soup and sandwich are pretty basic (we use I Cant Believe It’s Not Butter, Low Calorie Whole Wheat bread, and low-fat cheese). The salad on the other hand is a bag salad from Costco that comes with a little packet of Blue Cheese Crumbles, Almond Slivers, and Dried Cherries. It is soooo yummy! I LOVE dried cherries! The lettuce is good too to use on all kinds of things. We are big fans.

Anyway we are now on season two of Everest: Beyond The Limit…umm.. addicting much?
