A Weekend. A List.

We are having a snow day today! Mr. Gaunt and I ran a few errands (obviously it’s not that bad) and we finished 2 paintings, as well as bought 2 more canvas’ for paintings this week.  Business is going along nicely.

Other fun things:

-Later this week we are having the ARC come pick up a TON of stuff. It’s so nice not to have to bring it somewhere, you just call them and schedule a time for pick up…pleasing.

-Im also making a large delivery of art/sewing supplies to the Ronald McDonald house of Aurora. Very excited about this!

-Im on the hunt for Canisters. All of my baking stuff (flour, sugar, etc) is in Ziplock Bags. Not very safe or functioning. I wish I could find some used or something.

-We got rid of FIVE large trash bags of clothing!

-I cleaned out all my food cabinets and tossed all the weird stuff. Now we are on a mission to eat everything before we move.

-Today we cleaned and listed a ton of furniture on Craigslist. The rule is, the price drops until it sells. Nothing comes with.

-We are going to go next week and have the trailer hitch installed on my car at Uhaul.

-The both of us have cooked for the last 4 nights. I even have some recipes to show you very soon.

Alright, nothing too exciting. I leave you with some pictures from the weekend.

Kids Felt Crowns & Engagement Photos

Sometimes I get a little crafty, and am actually pleased with what I have made! These crowns were made for my friend Jen’s Daughter who turned 5 a week ago. I used this Tutorial and then just made the designs up on my own. This was the first time I made something with elastic, and was shocked how easy it was! Mr. Gaunt made the monster for me…soo cute! I also made the princess one with ribbon instead of elastic to make it more feminine. I really hope Torrae loves them!

I also wanted to share a few of our favorite engagement photos that Jen took of us when we were in Washington. She gave me a disk of like 200 so it took me a while to go through them all, but here they are. Oh and I picked out my engagement ring yesterday…yipee! I’m hoping to have it made and on my finger by my birthday!

Hey MOM!

It has come to my attention that I have been a blog slacker. This is sorta true, we are too darn busy. I’m keeping this short because I had two margaritas for Cinco De Mayo, and I’m tipsy. I did however get a new phone, woohoo! And my BFF Mallory and I have decided to start our own Eco/Green Friendly Event Planning business together! Well we have lots to think about, and I have to move back to Washington, but it is all very exciting! I also booked tickets to Washington for July.

I wish I was gonna see my mom for Mothers day! Hopefully her card gets there on time, I miss her.

Today is my one year anniversary of losing weight. I have gained 5lbs, Im lame. I think I might have to revamp my eating tomorrow, I’ll blog about it. In honor of this, I cut 4 inches off my hair. I think I like it, it’s a lot healthier.

I leave you with a pics that didn’t need a whole post, but together make a fun collage!

Mr. Gaunt and I. This is his “I love u” face.

And Hula being cute drinking milk

Oh and I bought a Brita, but have had some difficulties with it, I’ll blog about “WATER” soon

I also snuggled a Fritz!

Had a girls night with Dominique and C’est Moi Jolie! We are planning a big girls night for the Premier of Sex and the City!

Made a yummy Vegan Chocolate Cereal snack with Kiwi!

Walk It Out

Mr. Gaunt and I have decided to take up walking! I know, not that thrilling but I gotta do something to lose 20 lbs by July! Plus lately I’ve been feeling kind..err…Fat. I havent gained wait, been the same for a while, but I’m sick of the size I am. Time to go down a bit. So because we live right next to the Highline Canal Trail there’s really no reason for us to not walk regularly. The weather is also a lot nicer and it stays light out later. Mr. Gaunt wants me to buy a bike so we can ride together, but I’m worried we wont actually do it. If we can walk at least 4 nights a week for the entire month of May, then I will consider buying a bike. I need to know we can stick to something.

So tonight was sort of a trial to see what route we wanted to take. Turned out we walked just over 3 miles, in just under an hour. I don’t have a pedometer to track my length, but I found this great website called Gmaps Pedometer. GMP lets you trace your route on Google Maps and tells you your exact distance. Here is our route (yes at one point we tried to take a shortcut and ended up just making a loop)

Then I wanted to see how many Calories I burned. Thanks to GMP I knew we had done 3 miles in 1 hour, so I used Health Status’Activity Calorie Calculator to determine I burned almost 400 calories! Not too bad.

Outdoor Activity: 18 Holes!

Mr. Gaunt has taken up golfing this last year. He seems to really love it, he’d golf every day if he could. I’m just happy he has found a hobby that’s healthy!  He has been asking me to go with him for months now, and I keep passing, golf isn’t really my cup of tea. Especially not when it costs $25-$35 per person.

This past weekend though his golfing buddy got a coupon (rent a cart and golf for free)  so I agreed to go. I really wanted to drive Golf Cart! Usually Mr. Gaunt walks the course for the excercise, but a Golf Cart is fun on occasion.

I played the first 13 holes, but tired out after that. It was ok, but not my favorite thing to do. I’m still waiting for the pool to open! Here are some fun pics from our day though.
