Daily Eats – Day 17

Back to work today, which is horribly boring and mundane, but at least it pays me. Oh how I am looking forward to spring sooooo much! I want my yard and flip flops and DAYLIGHT back! I want happy hour and BBQ and tank tops! I’m so over coats!

Mr. Gaunt and I are in dire need of a little vacation. My best friend is getting Married the first weekend in March, and I’m looking forward to a number of fun family/friend events over the coming months. Including a trip to Seattle for the Northwest Flower and Garden Show. We have a yard to landscape this year!

Needless to say, today was the same old same old with food, with a trip to my mom’s for Soup and salad for dinner.

Grapefruit. 20 oz Non Fat Vanilla Latte. Non fat reek Yogurt with Low Fat Granola.

Odwalla Bar. Lean Cuisine.

White Wine. 7 Bean Soup. Caesar Salad. Orange Pellegrino.

We also made it the gym despite the snow. Did the regular cardio and attempted to really pump it up with my arms today, they are tired now. The gym was nice and slow, which is how I like it.

Daily Eats- Day 16

It was a snow day today. Which at first is fun, but then not fun. Really it means another day that I don’t get paid, and of course the ever glaring knowledge that I drive 1987 Toyota Piece-o-crap and can’t afford anything else. I have no idea how I’m getting to work tomorrow, and I’m frustrated. I also didn’t get to go to the gym. I hate snow!

Hula hates the snow too! It's too cold!

Non Fat Greek Yogurt. Blueberries. Low Fat Granola. Non Fat Vanilla Latte. Grapefruit. My sister made these things that were Prosciutto wrapped around asparagus in a mini croissant. I ate 2, they were small and delicious.

Lunch was Grilled Cheese (that I split with Mr. Gaunt), and Low Fat Squash Soup which I added a little chicken sausage and Kale to. Dinner was a boxed rice that I added leftover chicken and more Kale to. I also had a few sips of that cider.

I’m sure I consumed way too many calories today and didn’t move nearly enough.

Now I’m going to bed. Annoyed.

Daily Eats – Day 15

Leftover French toast. Odwalla Bar. Non Fat Vanilla Latte. Breakfast Sandwich (whole wheat English muffin, turkey bacon, egg)

Turkey Jerkey (just that little piece). Veggie Chicken Soup. Dried Fig (oooh mixing it up). Weight Watchers Chicken Parmesan (whole wheat pasta, skim Mozzarella, chicken, marinara) plus Light Cesar Salad with added tomatoes and cucumbers.

Plus two glasses of white wine. Not a bad day, but looking forward to getting back to my daily routine. I also bought a big bag of “southern greens” from Trader Joes, so we will be eating that all week…yum!

Gym this week will be lighter on the legs, as I feel like I pulled my lower-back-pelvis area and it needs a rest. Dare I work on my abs?..ugg.

Daily Eats – Day 13

Yup, I missed yesterday. Not on purpose, I took photos of everything, but then I went to bed and totally spaced it. Oh well. Today I got to work from home. Starting in February I get to take all Fridays off to work on Tied Bow stuff! This is pretty much amazing. So in an effort to be as productive as I would on a regular work day, I dragged my butt out of bed at 8:30, took a shower, got dressed and put on my face.

Freakishly flattering photo. Don't be fooled.

Had Non Fat Greek Yogurt, Frozen Berries, and Low Fat Granola for Breakfast. Plus a 16 oz Non Fat Vanilla Latte (no photo).

I worked until 1:30 and then met Mr. Gaunt at the gym.

Supposedly crossing your legs makes you look thinner in photos. I'm not convinced.

After the gym I worked more, until 5:30pm when my mom came over and we went to Costco and Old Navy. I was on the hunt for the perfect Black, Non-Shiny, Capri Length, Flared workout pants. None could be found. Old Navy is currently having a sale on workout gear, but its all skin tight spandex nastyness. They did have some nice clearance shirts that I bought.

Home Made Banana Chips.

Turkey and mustard.

My go-to winter outfit.

Then for dinner we had Goji Asian Fusian.

Followed by a glass of Pear Cider and in bed by 1 am…lol. Let the weekend begin.

Oh and a reminder to myself and anyone else being forced to watch football this weekend. DONT EAT CHIPS. DONT EAT DIP. DONT EAT HOT WINGS. DONT EAT CARBS. DONT EAT SWEETS. DONT GRAZE. DONT FORGET TO FOCUS ON THE PRIZE.

Weigh in on Sunday! Who feels good about this week?

Sorry I’m so Dull (Daily Eats – Day 11)

Right now I’m running:

-2 blogs

-3 facebook pages

– 1 Etsy site

-4 Email accounts

-1 website

-2 Paypal accounts

AND my full time job….that sucks the life out of me. AND eating healthy AND working out 5 days a week.

I haven’t been good at returning calls or hanging out with people. My blog is also über boring these days. The fact is that keeping this photo food journal is REALLY keeping me in check, but I just don’t have time to blog more than once in a day, so it’s all I can do to slap a little blurb about what else is going on in my life at the bottom of each post. I suppose people can stop reading if they hate it, although my views for January have been freakishly high, so maybe people think photo food journals are all that and a bag a chips! Ok no chips.

I may have yelled at my mom this evening about contracts and then burst into tears…yeah…maybe. To be honest with business coming in steadily since the wedding show, I got a little overwhelmed. I’m new! I’m trying to figure it out and do the right thing, but I’m still learning. Plus at some point I have got to get some help. One simply cannot do it all by themselves. And not help in the “I’ll tell you to do something and you do it” sort of way, help in the “I did it without you asking or holding my hand” sorta way. REAL HELP. I need some, and hopefully it will happen.

Today at the gym it was super crowded and 4 of the good machines were broken (it’s a tiny gym) which makes me mad because it’s freaking JANUARY! If a machine breaks FIX IT FAST! But no, it will sit there broken for a month…lame. So Mr. Gaunt and I did the stair stepper….KILLER…for 10 minutes. You can burn like 200 calories doing 10 minutes on that bad boy! Then we did the old ghetto (aka no cup holders) treadmill for another 20. Then I did legs and Mr. Gaunt did chest. Usually I do 12 reps on each machine (there are 5) 3 times. Today I bumped it up to 20 reps, and I bumped all my weights up by 20 pounds. I’m up to 140 pounds on the leg press machine! That’s good for me! I actually felt pretty good after working out today, almost a little…in shape. It was nice.

Grapefruit. Non Fat Greek Yogurt with  Low fat Granola. Smart Ones Meal.

Dried Date. White Bean Quinoa Chili. Bread with Olive Oil and Balsamic. White Wine.

Yeah the bread and oil was probably a bad choice, but I split it with Mr. Gaunt and it was delicious. Tomorrow’s my Friday…thank god.

Daily Eats – Day 10

Non Fat Greek Yogurt. Lowfat Granola. 16 oz Non fat Vanilla Latte. Stir fry Lean Cuisine.

Dried Date. Veggie Soup. Bagel Thin with a pinch Mozzarella.

No work out for us today. I had a really bad day at work and had to come home and chill out. I felt kind of bad about it, but I ate really well today so I’m not too worried. Back to the gym tomorrow. Some days things don’t go the way you want them to.
