Salmon, not the fish.

Well my one day off FLEW by, obviously. Not much was done, nothing around the house. I did however go on Saturday before work and got a new Sports Bra and a new dress. Oddly they are the same color. Then on Saturday night Mr. Gaunt and I had Date Night! We got dressed up and went to eat at Pepper Sisters (my landlord is the owner) it was amazing! Then we got super drunk on wine, went dancing with my sister and walked home.

(My camera was dead all weekend so all the photos are from Mr. Gaunt’s cell phone, so they aren’t great)

This is what I wore Saturday morning. Its sort of exciting, as these jeans havent fit in like 6 months, and I really like them. They are smidge long (really cute with heels) but they have a smaller waist and now they fit! Motivation.

I tried on a few sports bras, and this one fit the best. I like a little bit thicker bra that really straps everything back, no boob-moveage over here. And it was a fun color! The bra is Nike’s Swift Running Bra, similar to this one. It was slightly fancier than my last one, but I think I deserve it…(: I’m excited to try it out tomorrow morning.

This is the dress I bought. Mr. Gaunt says Salmon is my color. This dress is just stretch cotton, it will be great for summer (if summer gets here). I personally don’t like my legs at all, so I think it might be a little short. I will probably wear leggings unless it gets super hot. Mr. Gaunt and my sister disagree on the length issue, maybe I’ll take it for a bare leg test run.

This next week will be pretty exhausting. I just have to focus on working out and eating healthy. No matter how crazy things get or how tired I am I have to stay focused. Being worn out is a crappy excuse to let your body go, and its so easy to do that. Not this time though, I have my priorities and this blog to keep me held accountable.

Birthday Outfit Shopping!

Mr. Gaunt’s birthday is the 28th of this month, he’s going to be 29! Woohoo the last year in his twenties! Anyways we havent decided what we are actually doing on his birthday, but tomorrow we are going out to dinner with Pro and her boyfriend Jaques (whoes birthday was this past week) and we needed new outfits! Ha! I always need a new outfit! Mr. Gaunt though is down to 250lb (he started at about 312) and his once 46″ pants are long gone and 38″ pants are in! Im so proud of him he just looks so freaking fantastic!

We watched yesterday’s Oprah with Tim Gunn (the love of my life) on how men should dress, which I think inspired Mr. Gaunt to ditch the oversized grubby duds with some nice fitting stylish ones. So because we are always thrifty we hit up Target and Burlington Coat Factory (which we just discovered, million of jeans all $14-$25!) here’s what we got:

The shirt was purchased, the hat was just for show. Yes I know he is darn adorable!

I bought him this as an early birthday gift. Ignore the frown he really does love it.

New 7 jeans! He got two other pairs that fit nicely.

Interesting, but not the one.

would have been cute in two sizes smaller.

We have a winner! super fun and cute, please ignore the fact that it looks like Im picking a wedgie. Oh and it was only $10!

Picking Dresses

About 2 months ago I saw a really cute dress at Dillards that I wanted to buy for Mandas wedding, but it was $100 so I passed. Then a week ago Mr. Gaunt and I were back there and it was clearance for $27!!!! I LOVE CLEARANCE! So I bought it thinking I would wear it to Kristin’s wedding. Turned out to be a little too short to work in, and I didn’t want to wear tights or leggings because it was uber hot out, so instead I wore my NY dress! You know the one I talked about not fitting a few month back, well now it fits (and its longer so I could at least bend over) Yay! So I took pics of myself in both dresses in the hotel room so you could see. Oh and the first pic is me at 17 in my NY dress.
