Eating the Good, the Bad, and the Meh.

In the last five months I have really become kind of a cook. Now I have always done a little cooking, but simple easy (fatty) stuff. Now I get so excited when I find a new recipe online or go grocery shopping, I just really enjoy it! Anyways most of the things I cook I would say are pretty yummy, yes there was one bad (fat free) egg salad disaster, and maybe some meh casserole, but other than that things are usually delish.

Last week I was on my fall kick when I made my stuffed Acorn Squash, and so I bought another acorn and decided to make Mashed Acorn (like mashed potatoes only with acorn) I also decided to make Weight Watchers creamed spinach. I really like spinach and I LOVE cream! Ha! So I gave it a shot! The male consisted of this (yes I love panko Tilapia!):

The creamed Spinach recipe is here, and I would give it 2 out of 5 stars. Yeah kinda bad, too salty and not creamy enough (wheres the butter people?) I also didnt love the nutmeg in it..bleh. I might try another recipe again, but nix the nutmeg.

The Mashed Acorn was good, the only thing is that the recipe called for Cumin and I just dont know if that really worked for me. I would give this 3 out of 5 stars, I would make it again only without the Cumin (although Mr. Gaunt liked that part).

So its good to try new things, although not all new things are good. Working tonight so no cooking but Im planning some yummy things for the weekend!
